How is W.E. Can Lead different from other organizations supplementing education and other resources in developing nations?

There are many organizations doing great work around the world. W.E. Can Lead, however, has taken an innovative approach as we are founded by a native Sierra Leonean. Thus our programme reflects the collective experiences of a girl who has grown up amidst the very difficulties we aim to tackle. We will actively partner with other charitable organizations, governments, etc., as we understand that we all need to work together to tackle this issue and ensure all girls are given the education and training which is their due. Other key differentiators are: Leadership Development curriculum professionally designed by certified instructional designers and award winning educators to train girls and provide real life leadership assignments. Recruitment, selection and mentor matching processes scientifically validated by psychologists who specialize in identifying the most effective candidates as students, mentors and staff. International mentoring provided by a diverse group of female leaders from around the world through a sophisticated, secure technology platform. Leveraging distance learning capabilities to enhance students’ exposure. Academic tutoring and hygiene education resources available in onsite computer labs. Financial assistance covering the costs of tuition, uniforms, and other necessary supplies.
